Villa Gauguin is the newest and best located house in Akumal.


Built at the entrance of the Yal-Ku lagoon, it has a unique view of both the ocean and the lagoon. Bordered by a rocky coastline, Villa Gauguin has direct access to the lagoon, a natural aquarium where you can snorkel, canoe or simply swim in its crystalline waters, looking for sea turtles which frequent the lagoon.

Villa Gauguin was built in a minimalist style with pure and simple lines allowing a full integration with the natural surroundings. The architectural principle of Villa Gauguin is the “sea” and all its shades.
Once you open the entrance door, you are amazed by the 180° view of the Yal-Ku lagoon. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows allow a perfect integration of the house and the sea.

The first floor is comprised of:

• a 900 sq. feet living room with 15 feet  high ceilings.
• a separate dining room seating 12 persons
• a fully equipped kitchen with a separate breakfast corner

All of these have view over the external garden and lagoon
A bedroom with a queen-size bed with private view to the large interior garden of the villa completes the first floor.
The upstairs is comprised of 3 rooms with mesmerizing views on the lagoon and the Ocean:

• a parent room with a king size bed, walking double closed and a bathroom
• two children rooms, each furnished with 2 queen size beds, closet and private bathroom.

Two rooms with balconies and views on the mangrove of the Yucatan peninsula complete this second floor:

• A guest room, furnished with 2 queen size beds, closet and private bathroom.
• A TV room equipped with a large size TV, DVD player, home theater and spacious sofas to enjoy the best entertainment and news programs.
